In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where the TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.

TEDxYouth@HongKong is an annual event which celebrates the Universal Children’s Day on November 20, and is in its sixth year. As a TED offshoot, TEDxKids/Youth events will be following many of the TED speaker rules. Speakers are banned from “selling from the stage,” and there is strict enforcement of the clock. If you accept our invitation, we will offer further suggestions on how to tailor the perfect talk for our audience.

Last year, TEDxYouth@Hong Kong 2014 hosted one of the largest local TEDx events that reach 1000+ audiences through on-site and live streaming participation.
